It took me way longer than usual to get to work. I wish those crash signs on the 101 would flash "It's just rain dummies." How, how is it possible to go 40 mph the entire way to work? The worst part is it was just sprinkling.

What is it about people here that makes them drive dumb when it rains? All the snowbirds are gone for the summer so that can't be the reason.

    I know, I don't get it either. It really is just rain but I guess some people don't understand that.

    My issue this morning was there was a Sheriff on the freeway and people slow down. I don't see why you have to slow down when you see a Cop or a Sherriff. The speed limit is 65 people.

    I hate that too. The Sheriff actually pulled the guy who was behind me over, so I was relieved. But all traffic started to go slow, sucked for the poor guy because we were in the carpool lane and he had to go to the other side.
     
    The 101 always has an accident or someone who is getting a ticket and every single time, everyone slows down. Thank goodness for the carpool lane.

    Ugh I posted about that on FB last night. People are so dumb about rain here! It took me 45 minutes to get home last night when it usually only takes 10 - and it was 5:45 (which the streets are usually pretty empty) and it wasn't raining anymore.

    SO DUMB!

    Yeah, people out here get so scared when it rains.  They should visit the East coast.  We don't slow down for anything.  If 65 is the speed limit on the expressway, we do 70-75 in the pouring rain with less accidents :)
