Hi ladies! I am relocating to the Boston area in about 4 weeks for work and my DH and I are super excited! My question for you ladies is where to look for a plcae to live. The office I will be working at is in Woburn so I have been looking north of Boston. Any tips that you guys have for a newly wed couple moving from Dallas to MA? TIA Ladies
Re: New to the area with a ?
Welcome to Boston! The traffic here in the Boston area is different than Dallas-- one of my good friends lives in Dallas and I love comparing it with her.
What are you interested in? Do you want a night life? Or are you lookig more for a neighborhood? Are you looking to rent or buy?
Night life would not be bad, but is not a nessecity. DH is going to be going to school full time there so something close to public transportation is a must since we will only have one car. We will be renting.
Thanks for the help!

I work in Woburn and live in Andover (north of Boston) I drive everyday but early.. I leave my house at 6:50AM to get to work by 7:15 and the traffic isn't too bad. It's the same on the way home when I leave work at 4:00. I find that 95/128 North is way worse than 93 North!
Woburn and Burlington are really nice and there are a lot of apartments buildings. The bus and train go through Woburn. Wilmington is also nice and has the commuter rail into Boston (or Lowell).
Burlington has a ton of shopping and Woburn has a decent amount. I was born and raised in this area so if you want anymore help or anything, just PM me
Good Luck and welcome to Boston!
Where is he going to school? BostonBaker provided some good info about locations with a lot of access to public transit. In metro-Boston there's the commuter rail (real train), the T (subway - some is above ground in Boston proper) and buses.
