Ear Infection :-(

Madison has an ear infection in both ears. Started amoxicillin today for 10 days. Question for those mommies that have had babies with ear infections...do they not want a bottle? I've wasted so many bottles because Madi will only take an ounce or two at a time for the last couple of days. I end up just putting her on the bewbie, because I'm so sad for her. So much for weaning her.

Poor baby. The meds should kick in quickly. Just give her whatever she wants. If it is the boob, then the boob it is!  Hope she feels better very soon!

Poor Madi! Usually sucking on anything helps ease the pain of an ear infection. She's probably just wants to be close to you.

Poor baby! Yeah when Rj had his bouts of ear infections I gave him whatever he wanted how ever much he wanted - whatever comforted him. I even have some memories of him sleeping in my arms while sitting in the rocking chair all night long...
I am praying for her quick recovery and not so many sleepless nights.

Made it through the night, with Madison on my pillow next to me. We took Matt to the airport this morning for his biz trip, so please keep us in our thoughts. This is the first time I'm by myself with Madi for an extended time.

Hang in there.  I'm weaning Ben right now too and I went through the same thing tonight b/c Ben is getting another new tooth.  I tried to put him down to bed and he was really upset, just sitting there crying hysterically, so I pulled him out of his crib and gave him the boob.  He loves to nurse, so after 30 seconds he was asleep.  Poor guy.  I say do whatever it takes.  Poor Madison -- hope her ears feel better soon.
