I'm new to this and was just wondering if there were any military wives on here. My husband is joining the Air Force and I'd really like to know what to expect. Thanks Kryt
Re: Hi
"Military Nesties" will be the most help to you...
My DH was in the AF (enlisted) shortly after we started dating and we did the long distance thing for a while...it was hard. Their priority and their life is the military...it's hard for people to get used to this.
I have several close friends who's hsubands are officers in the Army. Here's a perfect example of life in the Army:
Friend just relocated (again) across country to another duty station, leaving her friends behind. Her husband was just told last week that he's redeploying for the 4th time. They're having their second chlid in September. This morning, her husband just got told that date is moving up, to either this month or October...the baby's due date makes no difference. He'll be gone for a year. That's esentially military life. AF is a little different than Army in regards to deployment length, etc. but...it's tough and it's not for everyone, but I think it's a great thing.
