I live in zone 5. The crabgrass is completely out of control in my front yard right now. I put down crabgrass preventer in Spring, but obviously it didn't work very well.
It is so bad I'd say about 60-70% of the yard is crabgrass. I have heard spraying chemicals (like Weed B Gone, etc) don't do much to kill mature crabgrass. Has anyone had any experience with the chemicals? Did it work for you?
Someone told me to pull them, which would be a PIA. Luckily the front yard is pretty small though, so I would do it if I absolutely had to.
Is it worth it to try to kill it now, or should I just wait for it to die when it frosts? It just looks so horrible... but huge bare spots (where the crabgrass was) would look horrible too.
Help!?!
