DH and I are taking a (very) mini-vacation to FL in a couple months. He has a business meeting in Orlando, but we'd like to stay on the beach for a couple nights. We don't need crazy night life, just a nice place to hang on the beach and some good restaurants. Any suggestions near Orlando? Thanks!

Re: beach help
My vote would be for the west coast - Clearwater or St. Petersburg beaches. They are very nice, white sand beaches with lots of good restaurants.
Good luck!
Cocoa Beach is nice!! They have a cute Cocoa Beach Village area that has great local restaurants (pizza, sushi, and such) and window shopping.
New Symnra Beach is good. You can drive on the beach there and they also have some areas where driving is not allowed. Boston's Fish House is awesome! Norwood's is also delicious.
West Coast-Clearwater is pretty.
The closest beach is Cocoa Beach. I think most of the stuff in Daytona is a bit old and I don't like staying there. New Symrna's beach is too shelly for me... haha I'm preggers so I'm just letting my opinions fly!
The west coast beaches (Gulf side) are definetly nicer, but a bit further of a drive. Pass-A-Grille off of St. Pete Beach is great, quiet, nice beach and relaxing. If you go there, check out the Coconut Inn. It is super cute and reasonable.
Have fun!!!
