Re: Chelsea Clinton's wedding
Good Lord that girl is skinny...
I thought the pic of her and daddy B walking down the aisle was presh.
Oh my goodness, I love, love, LOVE Chelsea Clinton. I seriously look up to her. That girl has been nothing but class the whole way through, and considering the crap her family went through and the way the media decided to take potshots at her appearance all through her teenage years - she's amazing. I hope it's nothing but smooth sailing for her.
Clinton's looking kind of old, he actually startled me a bit in those pictures.
Agreed. I actually said to H when I saw the pictures, "Damn, Bill Clinton is looking OLD!"
Ages 12-13 aren't really the most graceful ages for anyone (acne, braces, baby fat whatev). I can't believe people are acting like 'OMG she's so pretty now!" Jeez think back to when you were that age.
and I agree...very very beautiful.
I agree - gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. And SO HAPPY!!!!!
Was not so thrilled with Hilary's outfit choice for the rehearsal dinner. Ugh. Her choice for the wedding was much better.
I read that Chelsea asked her dad to lose a few pounds before the big day - he looked like a skeleton.
Definitely think she looked like a gorgeous bride. Papa Clinton was looking a little thin...hm.
I haven't seen a pic of her e-ring - not that I can remember, at least.
EXACTLY. And the idea that Versace revamped her look or whatever? Gimme a break. When I was 12, I had glasses, braces, frizzy hair, chipmunk cheeks, and a back brace, for God's sake. I can't imagine doing that in the public eye. The media would have made fun of me from here to next Sunday, and I doubt I would have handled it as beautifully as she did.
Honestly, it makes me angry when I think back to her during those times. Conservative commentators (such as Limbaugh) were ruthless. I'm not starting a political debate but if we treated Palin's kids (not the media starlet Bristol) the same as how Chelsea was treated we would have a political uprising.
Children should be left out of politics. Period. Chelsea has been wonderful through this entire fiasco and to be quite honest, I admire her grace and poise through all of this. She decided to stay above the debacle and live her own life.
I thought she looked amazing. Bill Clinton is looking really skeletor in some of the pictures. I agree with PP, I can't imagine going through all the akward stages while in the public eye.
I hope they treat the Obama girls much better than they have treated the previous first daughters. I think children should be off limits but that would be in an ideal world.
Chelsea was 21 when Versace revamped her. Well past her awkward preteen years. Chelsea held her own with the press and the media. I think it's pretty cool that Versace took her under her wing and that Chelsea was willing to be made over.
