Nasty film on laminate floors
We have walnut looking laminate floors throughout our entire house. I've been cleaning with Mr. Clean because I'm a little paranoid about germs. (occasional pet accident or raw chicken on the the floor) It's leaving a nasty film though that not only looks filmy, but shows footprints and paw prints like mad. How do I fix this? I just need shiney and disinfected.
April is National Grilled Cheese Month. How are you celebrating?

Re: Nasty film on laminate floors
Mopping with vinegar and water or a steam mop seem to be the most popular choices. People on the Cleaning board also like Bona, but I don't know if it's EF. The film you are seeing is probably buildup from your Mr. Clean.
Unfortunately, I think more visible paw prints and such are just one of the trade offs you get with laminate floors. I wipe my dog's paws at the door, or we have the same issue.
Agree w/pp -- steam mop or vinegar for disinfecting. Steam mop is my preference.
Edit: The interesting side effect of the spammers + sorting by most recent response is that i just read a bunch of posts from 2010, and was surprised and pleased by how many posts there were this weekend...
