I feel kind of stuck right now. I graduated in May and have a great job as a purchasing rep, but the only thing that bothers me is that I would love to have a job that actually requires my degree. I had my current job before graduation and received my degree in Business.
I just feel lost right right now b/c I would like to be getting experience in a posistion that will help me out in the future. But at the same time in order to get a job like that you have to have experience. It's just frustrating.
Sorry, just wanted to vent for a second. I'm hoping eventually my current place of work will see that I am continually learning and striving to better myself and move me up. I guess I am just being impatient and want a great job right after graduation.
Re: Post Graduation job & experience
You've been out of school for all of a summer. Give it time. Just because the road takes a turn doesn't mean it's not going anywhere. I'm not sure how having a degree in business is exclusive from being a purchasing rep-figure out how the two can combine so you can be gainfully employed and apply what you learned in college. This sounds like a ripe opportunity to me.
Oh, and btw, GO VOLS!
