Re: Garden Update
Holy crap! I'm so jealous!
Care to share any secrets? Where do you live, and do you use fertilizers, pesticides, etc?
I haven't used any fertilizers in my garden other than compost, and I'm starting to wonder if I should.
We live in southeast Wisconsin.
We don't use fertilizers or pesticides. I just rototill in compost at the start of the season about 2 or 3 weeks before planting. I use companion planting to help manage pests.
Beyond that, I put the seeds/plants in the ground, water when necessary (I haven't had to turn the hose on in....2 months), weed when I feel like it and harvest when ready. I am the laziest gardener ever.
We have been having perfect gardening weather this year so far. Cool spring and early summer for the greens, peas, etc. and hot and steamy July for the peppers and tomatoes.
