Spa Party for 7 year old (food)
DD's Birthday Party this year is a Spa Party theme. We'll have little girl friendly "treatments" and a MYO Bath Salts station. I'm just wondering what kind of foods I should serve. In keeping with the spa theme, I will have a fruit tray, and veggies, but on top of that I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?
Re: Spa Party for 7 year old (food)
A chocolate fountain with marshmallows, pretzels, pineapple, strawberries, rice krispie treats, etc. . .
I agree with PP about doing food they like, however, I'd say do a mix. I remember when I was seven really wanting to be a "grown-up" and wanting to copy things my mom and her friends were doing. I would do a couple signature items and call them "spa food" (like fruit kabobs or a sparkling "spa" punch -- Sprite with fruit frozen in the ice cubes or something) and then have a seperate lunch/meal that has foods they like.
If they're going to be painting their nails, I might stay away from finger foods and go more for something like Mac & Cheese where they can eat it with a fork.
