We are having a bbq this weekend that will involve Minute to Win It games. We want there to be an ultimate winner but we are having trouble deciding how to set up the games. We will have about 24 adults and we are thinking of having a kids category as well.
Do you have any advice on how to set up these games as a competition. I have all these ideas but nothing is clear to me. One thought I have is to have everyone play the same game, in several different heats. The people who complete the task in 60 seconds, moves on. But I worry that the people who lose will become uninterested and won't bother to watch the rest of the games being played. I don't want to alienate anyone.
Re: help setting up party games
We just did this at Summer Camp with our youth kids. We had a huge indoor area and actually showed the how to clip on a huge screen.
We had the games already prepped on tables and had a crew of 3 that moved the tables in and out to the comeptition area.
I would have maybe 3 people play the same game at once.
No one was uninterested. Its fun to watch your friends make fools of themselves.
Maybe have 3 teams so everyone has a vested interest in the over all scheme of things.
Award points to the winning team each time a game is played.
Team with the most points wins.
Bragging rights and cheesy medals can be the prize.
For kids at VBS we did simple ones like who can pull all of the tissues out of a tissue box the fastest, blowing up a ballon and chocolate unicorn.
