Hey everyone! So i have been MIA for awhile and I am sorry. My dad passed away unexpectedly 2 weeks ago, so I went home to be with my family. I've never really had to deal with anyone dying before, so I am having a really hard time with it- that and I am the biggest daddy's girl in the world. I didnt know if any of you knew of a good counselor or something- I think going to counseling may help. Since we dont have a lot of money (DH still hasnt found a job yet) it would need to be fairly inexpensive- I dont know how these things work. Anyway, any help would be great. Thanks!
Re: Counseling
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.
Here are some places you may find helpful:
http://www.homc.org/support/
http://www.miamicounseling.com/additional_services/grief_loss.asp
http://www.catholichospice.org/grief
You may also want to call your local hospital as they may offer support groups as well.
I know VITAS and Hospice By the Sea also offer grief and loss counseling but hey are in Broward and Palm Beach and I see that you are in Miami so that may be a bit a far for you.

That is such terrible news. I am so sorry for your loss.
If you are a member of your local church/archdiocese/temple, I would definitely seek help there first. It's usually completely free of cost. It's great that you're seeking therapy, it helps so much with the grieving process.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Best of luck to you.
