Brake repair recs?

I'm hoping someone has a rec of where I can get front brake work done less than the dealer charges (Lexus quoted ~$700 which seems high)...I'm in NOC, but willing to drive for good dependable service

TIA!

Re: Brake repair recs?

  • I always go to Goodyear and never have a problem. I think I spent almost $200 for my front brakes.

  • I took my last Audi to Freek's in Fullerton when my warranty ran out :http://www.freeksgarage.com/

I had good luck with them. The pricing was fair, and I felt good that they are AAA certified. They also give AAA discounts (and it looks like they're running a brake promo per their website)

ETA they will also do warranty covered work in their garage (I assume they just bill the manufacturer?)

  • I got mine done years ago at Econo Lube (now Meineke I think) in Laguna Hills off Cabot - and I would NOT recommend them.

Hope you find a reasonable place J!

  • Charles Foreign Car Services in La Habra. 562-691-5210I just recently had my brakes done there. My mom takes her BMW there and my uncle takes his Lexus there also. We think they're reasonably priced and trustworthy. If you call, ask for Jeremy (the owner).
  • I just had my brakes done, shopped around, made phone calls for prices and the best deal was Midas. PLUS they have a lifetime warranty meaning the next time you need you brakes replaced, you only pay for the parts, not for the service. A month later, my husband needed new brakes and Midas won again. :)
