We appreciate you buying our daughter such a fancy generous present for her birthday, but for the love of god, please listen next time I tell you (directly, not in passing or to someone else in your presence) that we, as her parents, were planning to buy her that exact item. And I highly doubt you looked around everywhere and did the research on ratings and whatnot.

Are you trying to give mommy a heart attack? You escaped through the door last night and stayed out till 6am despite my repeated calls etc. all night. Don't you remember what happened last year? You almost lost your tail and your life out there? Please for mommy's sake, stay indoors. Don't be tempted by the tall grass at the back of the house
or the neighbor's cat's luring purrs or the butterflies. Be strong, moomfkee. I know you now have health insurance but I am still broke from last year's event.

dear 8 year old who lives in the building behind us,
that is a feral cat on your roof and fire escape. he is stuck and can't figure out how to get down. his name is NOT whiskers, and all of us in this building would appreciate if you would stop throwing baloney out your window and incessantly yelling "WHISKERS! PSSSSSSSSSS!" at the top of your pre-pubescent lungs. three days of this is enough, please and thank you.
