Question from OK nestie...

Hi there Phoenix nesties!!!

Another OK nestie and I are traveling to Phoenix in September and staying at the Biltmore.  This weekend, one of my husband's friends went on and on about a mexican food restaurant that is in a gas station.  Anyone know what he is talking about?  After I HAVE to try it!

Thanks!

He just said Phoenix which could mean...anywhere. I think I will try to google it a bit more...

As far as meeting Phoenix nesties...I will ask Snowful to see what she thinks. Thanks for the help!

  • I googled it and Roberto's came up. It looks like the PP was correct and it was featured on DD&D. I haven't been (or even heard of), but I'm sure you can google it and find out more info.

That is it! Good grief - I am the WORST googler in the world.  I am totally pumped to try it. We are also going to try the place with the sandwiches - Los Reyes de la Torta - I have obviously been watching way too much of the Food Network. Anyone have other suggestions?  Our meals at the Biltmore are included but we do want to get out a bit...

You are a total hoot - I LOVE chicken and waffles - we have a place here that is sooo good but maybe we will have to check out Scottsdale's version.  Thank you so much for the information!

  • love love LOVE Roberto's! They used to sell at my high school at lunch and I was totally obsessed Smile
  • is it sad that I've lived here all my life and never heard of Roberto's? I have been by the Chicken and Waffles place but never ate there.

Man, I sure do need to venture out to places I've never been to, eating wise.

But I am obsessed with the Food Network and and Triple D.

I wonder if this is related to the ones in Vegas. There were a couple mexican places (I believe called Roberto's) that were in gas stations and they were so good!
