I've been missing you guys! This summer has been awesome--but also very busy!!
For the month of June I was at a hospital doing clinicals for school. It was just about full time for that month, so it was very busy doing that and trying to work a little bit to get some money! But it was a great experience, as that was my first time working with patients.
Then, in early July I started my internship at our children's hospital. I absolutely loooove it! More than I thought I would! I like working with the kids (even though they're sick and it can be very sad to see them like that) more than adults. I've got to do and see so much already. I got to be in on two crazy traumas in one day a couple weeks ago (one was a 16 month old near drowning and the other was a teenage gunshot victim)--which was also sad but a great experience. The days can be long--the shifts are 12-13 hours each, and I just got done with working 3 of those days in a row, which was exhausting, and I'm still working my other job about 12 hours a week. So it's busy, but it's good to earn some money before school starts again and I won't be able to work as much.
So, that's about all for me! Can someone update me on what's happening around here!? I'll try to stop in more than I have been!
Re: Hi!!
Great to "see" you, Michelle, and it is great to hear that you are enjoying your program so much! It can be tough working, going to school, and trying to have a life all at the same time, but when it is over it will all be worth it.
Hopefully we get to see you more, sooner rather than later. I'm no good with updates as my nest time is spotty, so I will leave that to somebody else. But I just wanted to say Hi!
WOW sounds like you are keeping very busy!!!!
Here is a funny story for you to HERE. Art and I adopted a little boy dog Sam. He is just adorable!
I dont remember the last time you were on, but there are lots of pregger people. I won't even try to name them because I would probably forget a few.
That's so exciting! Congratulations!! I can't believe how many babies A08 has had/having!
HEY! Glad you stopped by
and glad to hear that things with your internship are going well and that you're learning a lot and having great experiences (even though some of it is sad!)
nothing super exciting here...at least for me. Steve had his appendix out at the end of June, they found a tumor, it's not cancer. We've been to the oncologist and the GI doctor. He has to have a colonoscopy to just make sure there isn't anything else in there but he should be fine which is good news! We're settling in at the new house, unpacking slowly but surely
