I keep meaning to ask you - you're starting at ASU in the fall, right?
If yes - what courses are you signed up for?
Re: *Taylor*
No, this fall is actually my last semester at SCC. I graduate with my Associates in December. My schedule includes:
Accounting 240
Statistics
Public Speaking (kill me now)
Sociology 101 (I can drop this if I decide to go to Devry)
Macro Economics
Next spring I'll attend ASU or Devry University. I recently found out Devry is in my building, lol.
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
*shudders* statistics is death! Not to mention public speaking. I totally hated that bull.
240 was the class that changed my life! Seriously. It's the reason I switched to accounting to begin with.
I don't know much about Devry, other than my coworker got her BS from there. The only thing I would mention (and this might be the same for Devry) is that WPCarey is SUPER helpful with job/internship placement. I never utilized the services because I wasn't interested in Corporate and found my placement on my own. But I know a ton of people that found amazing placement through the networking there.
I have a phobia of public speaking; my chest/neck/face turn red, my whole body starts shaking, and I completely forget to breathe. Its just wonderful, and I am obviously looking forward to subjecting myself to a semester of that.
Now that I think about it, I can also drop the public speaking if I go to Devry.
The only reason I'm really considering Devry is because I have the option of online classes, which will be very helpful next spring, and the credits I have to complete in-class will be really easy to attend since they're in the same building. lol
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
Yah that sounds like it would make things really easy! That was a negative with ASU. I took a lot of online classes, but they weren't core subjects.
I was luck because we had the option of taking public speaking and/or group communications. My GC course was amazing. There were presentations, but they were all group, and the course was outlined in a way that by the time it got to presentation time in the semester, I felt like I was in a room with a bunch of close friends. So, it wasn't a big deal.
Public speaking is the devil though. I remember when I was in girl scouts, one of my badges was the bilingual badge, and in order to pass I had to do a speech in front of my troop and some judge person - all in french. I was a nervous wreck. It ruined me forever.
