Is Eggplant the New Black?

I went shopping today for Fall clothes and it seemed like almost everything was in an eggplant color.  At first I didn't like it b/c I hate the color purple and eggplant is kinda in that family, but it grew on me and I ended up getting this cool really long sweater in that color.  Anyway, I have been somewhat out of the fashion scene for a while now due to being pregnant so maybe I missed the memo about eggplant being the new thing.  LOL!

It's about time!  I love purple!  Of course it comes at a time when I have challenged myself to abstain from shopping. :-(  Happy shopping for you!

Everything is in those darker..jewel tones!  It is going to take some time for it to grow on me.

I had heard that shades of purple were going to be in for fall. Eggplant is a pretty color. I keep wondering with all these "new blacks" when black will suddenly become the new black. LOL

I love the purples! I am so happy that eggplant is the it color right now! I also love purple shades in eyeshadows and stuff...paired with greys!!!! LOVE!

I haven't been out shopping much, but it is nice to see some new colors in rotation!

I think that eggplant is one of those colors that would look good on everyone...turquoise is another that usually works for all.

I love the new eggplant color. I have a cardigan that color that I wear as often as I can Did you get one of those long button down cardigans? I want one...

There was actually a ton of dark purple last year too.  I like it though... I think it's mostly a flattering color!

To me, black will always be black... love it!

I LOVE purple and teal right now...In fact my pen is has purple ink today I did wear a lot of it last year as well.

Mama loves some eggplant. Yes!!! I plan to get several things in that color this year.
