Stone Street? (Financial District)

After leaving the Dept of Transportation later than usual today, I wandered around looking for lunch and came across Stone Street.  It is so cute! I love all the tables in the street with the restaurants on both sides.  Has anybody eaten down there? is it just lunch, or dinner too?

I wish it wasn't quite so late at that time, I would have loved to try some of those foods. Adrienne's Pizza Bar looked especially tempting.

Re: Stone Street? (Financial District)

  • DH used to work right near by and I always loved meeting him for lunch on Stone Street! I totally agree all the restaurants and outdoor seating is soo cute. I think it's dinner too...

Anyone want to try a GTG there? Wink

  • I've been there many times.  Adrienne's Pizza Bar is delicious, and we go fairly frequently.  My husband works in the FiDi so Ulysses is a fairly popular nice weather happy hour destination among his coworkers.  I'm not a huge fan of that scene though -- on a nice spring/summer night it is a madhouse, and is overrun by pretty obnoxious people (I guess that isn't entirely surprising for the area).

  • I heart Adriennes, Ulysses is a great place ( where dh and I met3 years ago) there is a little wine bar across the way is also really nice.
  • Adrienne's is really good! Mad Dog & Beans has fabulous margaritas, chips, and food but is a little pricey. Waterstone Grill is nice when someone else is paying. And in the back of Smorgaschef is the most fantastic little creperie - their savory and sweet crepes are to DIE for.

That was the name of the place! I almost drooled on somebody's guac as I walked by, words cannot describe how good it looked.

  • I had never even heard of Stone Street until recently, but everything I've been hearing makes me want to try some of the places there.
