Still trying to ID plant (PIP)
Previous post: http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/40197008.aspx
So whatever this thing is has grown. I found one on my side of the fence. I have no clue how I missed it the sucker was almost 4 feet long

cross section:

The texture seems to be very zucchiniesque (is that even a word?) It smells like a cucumber. When cut it "bleeds" an orangish brown color.
Re: Still trying to ID plant (PIP)
It's not peeled in the pic.
I'm voting that its a snake gourd. Google snake gourd and you get some pretty similar pics. And supposedly it has red flesh when ripe so that could explain the color when it "bleeds".....
+1 on snake gourd.
