Re: dead vacuum
I don't know if there's still a warranty, but it's likely it would cost more to repair than it's worth. We got it almost 2 years ago. It was slowly going downhill anyway, and pissing me off.
So I bought a Bissell Pet Hair something or other, $170 vacuum, and got it home, assembled it, and realized the dirt canister is cracked! Are you effing kidding me?? My sister and 23 month old nephew are coming to visit tomorrow and I don't want him covered in dog fur from sitting on the ground.
I have to go back to Best Buy in the morning and return it, and then come home and vacuum before they get here. Grr.

I know, right?? I told my sister about it, and she's like, You don't have to vacuum, we have a sheddy dog too! But I still want to do it, because even though I just vacuumed like 2 weeks ago, chloe seems to be shedding like crazy this week.

I hate vacuuming and would look for any excuse not to do it. I make H do all the vacuuming because I hate it so much.
I hate vacumming the stairs. Along with unloading the dishwasher, but doing the stairs is by far the worst. I did get a vacuum with a "lift off" container thingy for easier stair cleaning. Now if only it weren't broken...

I went to Best Buy this morning and the one I bought was the last one!! Grr! They ordered one for me at another store, but I didn't have any time to go and pick it up. So oh well, the house didn't get vacuumed, but it's okay.
On the up side, my sister and my nephew and I had a great time at the pool, he's napping and then we're going to have dinner before they go home, since they live a little over an hour away.
