Movers/Moving Companies
DH and I are looking into moving to a larger home or townhome within the next 2 months. We U-Hauled it last time and personally do not want to go through that hell again, we'd like to get movers this time around.
Before I begin my research, if any of you are familiar, around how much do they cost?
We are moving locally, we're in the Davie area now and wherever we go will still be within Broward County. We have a 1br/1bath, so a fairly small truck is all we need. Any help is appreciated, TIA

We moved from Coral Springs to Wellington last summer and I think we paid about $400 total. Most movers will charge by the hour so it just depends on how much stuff you have and how long it will take them to move it all. We moved from a small 1 bedroom apartment as well.
I would highly suggest doing some online research about companies before hiring them to make sure they have good reviews. Also, in my experience movers are always late, so I would get the earliest time possible on moving day.
I used SureWay Moving & Storage for our move. We chose them because my sister used them for a local move in South Florida and had a great experience. My sister has also had other friends that have had good experiences with them as well.
For us, they did the estimate by the number of pieces/weight and distance. We gave them a list of everything and they gave us a flat rate. It was approximately 2k for the cross country move. We had a studio full of music equipment, bedroom, living room, dinette, office, and about 50 boxes.
They were extremely reliable and very informative throughout the process. They picked up and delivered everything on time and everything arrived in excellent condition. I definitely recommend!
