Who wants to join us for A'dam gay pride day?
So, I just realized that the big boat parade is this Saturday at 2 pm! We could pack a picnic and watch or have dinner at my house or something.
It was totally awesome last year - everyone really goes all out with costuming and boat decoration and music.
Yes/No?
Re: Who wants to join us for A'dam gay pride day?
Aw dammit. I do! But I can't.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAA
*grumbles about stupid husband only have 4 more stupid days to finish his stupid project and stupid saturday is the one of them*
follows that with *grumbles about stupid having to pee every half hour and swollen ankles and a no-beer diet so she can't have as much fun as everyone else and it isn't fair*
I saw the news coverage from previous years. Looks like one freakin amazing party.
How about the train?
We can set up really close to our apartment so your pee breaks can be in relative comfort (not scary port-a-potties). *makes puppy eyes*
Can you just send me minixnickx then? I want to keep her forever and ever.
OMG. She got the whole Chandler from friend's thing down the other day. Quite by accident. As she doesn't watch Friends.
We were watching some fab show on BBC3 about the fall of our current civilization (also known as "young, dumb, and living off mum") and she popped out with "Can he be any more gay?" It was awesome.
And she would probably stay with you forever and ever. Especially now that I am insane-o pregnant mom. It's scary, apparently.
Do you know where I can look up tickets? I can't find anything here that will let me check to go to A'dam.
I think the biggest problem is that it's August, so everything is like sky high right now
Eeek.
with these guys I see it's about ?180 euros round trip. and it takes 16 plus hours?!?!? Plus they are whining about not being able to pick up tickets within 3 days. Not sure about print-yourself-at-home tickets though.
edit to add: for that it would be worth renting a car! You can always park it at my house and train into the city to avoid city-traffic. *whistles innocently*
Yikes dude!! That's crazy!
I'm not legal to drive here, so that's out. C'est la vie!
Amoro, Rejseplanen has an international search for schedules (and an English version) but you'd probably have to call for prices.
It'd be about 2000 SEK on Norwegian Air from CPH to AMS.

Zwig....if that guest room is still free DH said he's down for joining in.
We'd probably park at the station in Amstelveen or somewhere and then take a short train to A'dam Central.
If you guys still want some company then let me know and we'll see you Saturday!
