stupid parents

Did ya'll hear about that toddler that was just found today? His mom was fell asleep and the little one year old wandered off and they just found his body. Apparently the mom said it has happened before, but he always came back. WTF?! He's one. This breaks my heart...

Re: stupid parents

  • That is awful I saw that they found him but I didn't know the whole story... that poor baby
  • That is just awful.  =(  I have heard this story (although, I believe he was two, but still - so, so, so sad).  I also heard there was a 12-year-old sibling in the house (in my opinion - plenty old enough to watch a child while a mom takes a nap).

I am not judging this mom.  I feel awful for her.  I cannot say I am a perfect mom at all, and I see this a tragedy.  Although, I had not heard about it happening before and him coming back.

I just don't have all the facts, but I feel very sad for her loss.  I am giving her the benefit of the doubt, without knowing all the details of their lives, before calling her a terrible mom.

Regardless, my heart breaks for that family and that poor little boy.  =(

  • That's terrible. I got goosebumps reading the article. I just can't imagine what that little boy went through wandering around lost and barefoot. And to think he was withing view of houses some of the time, why wasn't anyone paying attention? It's so sad.

Don't get me wrong. I definitely feel horrible for the family as well. I hope the news was wrong about it happening before, but that's what they were reporting yesterday. I just don't understand how he even got outside in the first place?! I'm sure the twelve year old is going through a lot too (feeling responsible for it and all). Such a terrible tragedy!

  • *On second thought, that probably wasn't the best title to this post. I was just ticked off that it had happened before and they didn't do anything to prevent it a second time. Again, I really hope that reported fact is wrong. *
