If you are bored....

I am needing some window treatment help. This is my bedding:

I have 2 standard size windows in my master bedroom. I still not have found curtains that I love. Please help. There are matching curtains for this bedding but I don't like them. If at all possible I would like them to be lined to keep the sun out. TIA!

Re: If you are bored....

  • You could totally make these yourself - get some khaki silk from Hancocks (or whatever matches the lighter portion of the comforter) and line them yourself with blackout (also from Hancocks).  Have them drape a bit on the floor (so make them too long). I bet you could make the curtains for less than $100.

Also - at this fabric store in Edmond, Vu's, they have silk fabric that is kind of gathered all over the place (kind of like the bottom of some wedding dresses now) - that would be gorgeous too and it would add a bit of drama to the draperies.

  • I like PP's idea and your bedding is gorgeous!

So.... I'm sewing challenged. Would these be really easy to make? And I would rather not have silk or anything that touches the ground. Our dog's hair seems to attach to everything. (I even find it here at work) But that idea sounds great.

  • They would be so easy to make or I am sure someone on here (bluekid) could make them for you.

The more I think about it the more I like the idea of the silk with the gathers - I am almost positive I saw lined panels like this at BB&B a few weeks ago....
