anyone tried Empire carpet?

I had someone coe out a long time ago, and I was wondering if you thought the price was far, and the quaility of carpet was reasonable for the $.  Thank you!

i have heard some not so great things about them, like how long it REALLY takes to get the carpet in..... they are so cheap because they wait to line up a TON of jobs in the area.... then just bang them all out.. adn also the carpet you pick may not be in stock per say because they wait until they have truckloads of that one before they have it shipped up to them.... again why they are cheap, buying in bulk = cehaper for you...    i would just use you r local company, that way if theres a prob, youre not trying to work your way up the totem pole to find who you can complain to... just my .02

Honestly, they are NOT all that cheap. We priced them out for a living room carpet when we first bought our house . . . the estimate for that 1 room (basically square, no stairs or anything complex) was $1800. We ended up with the same exact carpet (same weight, brand, etc...) from a local place for $1300. We had to wait a little longer for it, but that is a HUGE price difference, especially since EC claims to be so inexpensive. And like Kim mentioned, a local flooring store is far more interested in your satisfaction.
