Clubbing?!?!
we have some friends coming into town next week. we have a list of things and places to go/do while they are here. alex brought it up last night that they want to hit a few clubs while here. i've only been to the buzz in scottsdale (yearssss ago) - which imo is LAME. i have no idea where to go...if you go or have gone clubbing, where do you go??? tia!

Hahahaha, The Buzz, hahahaha sorry. I remember that place, it's lame and soo HS for me.
I know, I am no help, I dont go clubbing. I've heard of Mist (think that is what it's called) and Oaxaca (sp) is good but that is all that I've heard recently. And there is a place downtown but not sure what it is called.

I don't loooveee clubbing but I've been quite a few times, its fun for a crazy/wild girls night and I have some crazy friends that I go with occasionally.
Martini Ranch is kinda cool, they have different sections with different feels to them. Like the upstairs part in the back is the real club part with go-go dancers and stuff, the patio is more chill, and the inside is more rock.
Myst is popular, but I personally hate it there. There is usually a pretty hefty cover charge and the girls there are ridiculous.
Suede is a little smaller and has great martinis.
Axis/Radius is ok but there are some weirdos there.
PussyCat Lounge is fun if you are already drunk lol.
Then nearby is Jackrabbit which is really loud and crazy.
So out of all those, I'd go to Martini Ranch. Its probably the most normal place haha. Hope that helps!
I 2nd Martini Ranch, thats where I had my bach. party and had sooo much fun!!!
However, I would stay far away from Pussycat Lounge, it is really small and people are packed like sardines!
I personally love Tempe Marketplace! San Felipes and Cadillac Ranch are not so much clubs, but both have dance floors and play music all night! Best part, no cover!!! Cadillac starts charging at 10, but just get there before then : )
I also really like American Junkie. Again, not a club, more a bar..but its a lot of fun!
I agree with Martini Ranch. Its a fun mixture of people. There is also Devil's Martini, although its been a few years since I've been there.
Pussycat is really packed and its not extremely fun unless you have a table.
I don't do the club scene, I'm more of a bar person, not clubs. I went to Myst for my bachelorette a couple months ago and it was alright but like whoever it was that said it, the girls there were BAD. I was wearing a veil headband and girls kept yanking it off my head and throwing it to the floor. It was weird. We also went on a Thursday which is when it is 18+ so that my bridesmaid could come so maybe that had something to do with it.
I've heard good things about Martini Ranch, I would check that out.
Martini Ranch for sure. I use to go there to see a local band Metal Head who is an 80's cover rock band. I think they still perform there during the week some time. Definitely worth checking out.
Anyway I have not been there in like 5 years but a co-worker just had her bday party there this past Sunday and from the pics I saw the place was packed and completely remodeled. Looks like a good time.
