... so.... kids trade these things? Do they have any purpose other than to trade? 

I'm perplexed.  And I feel old for not knowing these things, lol....

I read about these the other day.  I think that they are this generation's slap bracelet or charm necklace.  Granted I might be a little older than some folks here but those were my pre-teen items to covet anyway.

They are super annoying. Schools here only allow 10 silly bands on each wrist, you can't have any more than that and you can't trade in school. I find them ALL OVER my classroom. I throw so many away it's crazy. Some are cute but I'm over it

Yup, they were huge here last spring.  They are like the Pokemon cards of 2010.  The idea is to trade the ones you have multiples of for ones you don't have.  I'll be interested to see if they survive the summer, because the big thing is the trade and you need a school full of kids for that!  My 8 year old grandson and the 8 and 11 year old I babysit for have about a million each!

yup...huge here too! I work at a child care facility and the kids from ages 1 year old through 5th grade all  have them and trade them like crazy!  Cute, but annoying - they tend to fight over them quite a lot!

I'm not going to lie. ?All of the girls I work with have them. ?Some of us are more obsessed than others. ?I only have two- a baseball bat and a baseball. ?They were given to me because I'm a huge pro baseball fan. ?

We trade them with the kids that come into our practice. ?They all think we are awesome and cool and the parents like us because we actually talk to and interact with their kids. ?The pets like us either way. ?:) ??

I have seen these on kids recently.  I was shocked at how young the kids are that I have seen them on.  (I'm def showing my age b/c I remember the slap bracelets, too Witty!!)  I was even more surprised b/c I had never seen these on adults until my class I'm currently in.  There are several grown people w/ multiple ones on.  I have only ever seen the multi-colored ones that are just a plain color, so maybe I'm missing the ones that are cool w/ designs.  This too, shall pass.  hehe
