Sephora?

Anyone know what all they will do as far as a demo, or something like that for makeup?

I'm hoping to get e-pics done soon...  and I figured I would go in and get my hair cut so they style it for me, and was really wanting to find some way to get my makeup done (without spending a fortune!).

I'm not a makeup every day kinda girl...  I've never been great with it, and I don't like how it looks when I do it (foundation mostly), so I won't be doing it myself for sure.

If it comes down to it, I know they have the $50 special occasion thing, and that's not too horrible...

I'm also really curious about their airbrush kit, because I think it may simplify things a LOT for me as far as the makeup thing goes.  I don't wear makeup normally, not because I don't want to, but because I suck at it.  LOL

I'm curious if anyone has one, or has used one, and if they will demo that?

Re: Sephora?

  • What about going to Macy's? The clinique counter does makeup (I had mine done for my boudoir session in Oct) and they said on the phone I had to buy 2 things but the girl never made me. I LOVED my makeup too. She was awesome. I wish I could remember her name. She's at the Fashion Square mall.

  • Also MAC will do this as well. During the week there's no obligation (I believe) but fri-sun you have to commit to buying $50 or $75 worth of product I believe. Edit- that's only if you want an apt fri-sun if you walk in there's no obligation.

  • A girl at Sephora did a free makeup trial for me. I just told her I was trying to figure out what makeup to buy for my wedding and wondered if she could help me try some stuff. There was no requirement to buy anything, and she even gave me a few samples of stuff that I held onto and used as my wedding makeup, haha.

I also did a makeup trial at the clinique counter, and they didn't require me to buy anything either, and I got more samples from them.

  • Wow, okay... more options than I thought!

    Even better!

     Thanks ladies!  =)
