I just got back from Gman's HS orientation with my neighbor (he's still hiking)...the girls are way more 'grown' than when I was 14! What happened?! I don't know if I'm more worried about bullies or bewbies!
Re: ...kids these days...
lol, shelly... I think the same thing just when I am out shopping and I see a group of teeny boppers running around the store and I think to my self "when did 14 yo's start getting bewbies?!" I mean I was an early bloomer but it seems it is like every little girl now =(
I hope you don't have to worry to much about either

Same here, I wasn't allowed to get my ear peirced until was 6, I wasn't allowed to shave my legs until I was 12, couldn't wear make-up until I was 16...
I think it might be a regional thing, too. I mean, I think kids are getting more mature/provocative/inappropriate everywhere, but I think its worse in Phx than in, say, the midwest. I'm from Cleveland, land of the jeans and hoodie. I notice a huge difference in how people dress and present themselves here. Mike and I go to a Browns bar sometimes to watch games, and the first time we walked in, he was like, "Wow, you can totally tell these people are from Cleveland.. they just LOOK like Cleveland." I'd never really thought about it before then, but he was so right.
Has anyone seen "Hot in Cleveland"? It's so true. hahaha.
I love that show! LOL
Of course I came here from Columbus area, so yeah, it's totally true for there too!
I loved the episode where Valerie Bertinelli's character was talking to that columnist, trying to compare Cleveland people to L.A., and she kept putting her foot in her mouth about how Cleveland folks don't care at all about their appearance. So funny! I get ripped on by my fam so much when I go visit and bring multiple pairs of shoes and bags, to match with different outfits. They don't get why I wouldn't just throw on sneakers and be done with it. It's sort of refreshing, actually.
Yeah that was hilarious!!
I still just throw on sneakers (well, here, more often sandals) and be done with it...
I'll admit I've gotten a bit more coordinated and girly since I've been here, but it has nothing to do with the area... my guy shops for me now. ROFL! It's really sad, but he's a lot better at it than I am.
Aw, that's adorable!
I have a feeling your kiddos aren't going to get away with crazy shenanigans sister
hahaha you are damn right about that!!!
