I've been trying for a few months to "green" my lifestyle, and we've made a few important changes. The next thing we need to do is get our cleaning products green. As soon as we use our current products up, I'm going to try to start making our own cleaning products. I've leaned that water with a few tbsp of vinegar is good for all-purpose cleaning and window cleaning, and we bought an eco friendly brand of clothes detergent. There are a few things I still need to learn about. First of all, whats a recipe or brand to trust for dish detergent/dish soap? I'd rather make my own if anyone knows any recipes. Also, my hubbie likes to spray Tilex Clean Shower after we take showers to keep mold and mildew at bay. Can anyone think of a green recipe/solution for this?
Thanks everyone!
Re: Pretty new to green living--cleaning product recipes?
We use Ecover in the dishwasher, and I like Mrs. Meyers dish soap - I've not tried to make my own yet!
I have recipes in the link in my siggy.
I don't make my own dishwasher stuff- I use Method smarty tabs for that. I also use Method shower spray in the shower.

Vinegar and baking soda... try out different combinations for the different surfaces.. but that's all you really need.
