New to Cleveland Area

Hi Everyone,

My husband and I have been married a year now and recently moved to the Cleveland Area. I've been living in Florida the past six years (that's where we met), but he grew up here. It's nice being closer to our families, but I'm  having a hard time meeting new people. He has a huge network of friends and family since he's lived her almost his entire life whereas I only know him and the friends (basically all, unmarried, guys) he's introduced me to. I had to change my line of work when I moved here three months ago because I couldn't find a job in my field. I'm not really sure how to meet people and knew that my friend in Michigan has used The Nest as a great way to meet some awesome women so I thought I'd give it a try. Does anyone out there get together with other married 20 and 30 something women (I'm in my late 20s) once in awhile that wouldn't mind welcoming one more?

Hi there!  We just moved about an hour east of Cleveland and don't have any friends, either.  I'm from NY and DH is from Michigan and we just spent the last 2 years in Arkansas.  We didn't make too many friends there, so I'm looking forward to trying to meet some people!  We're kinda far and have a baby, but I'd be all for meeting up some day.

We usually have GTG on here! There was about 4 of us girls that met on here and hang out. Its would be great if we could schedule something like that again. The board has been very slow. Also when we schedule them its just the same 4 of us that show up, never any one new. lol What about the 19th at the lizard in Macdeonia?

I am also new to the area. I got married back in April and have been here since May. I work with a bunch of men so it is hard to make friends. I would be interested in meeting new people in the area.

I'd love to meet up as well. I keep searching online for ways to meet new people, but keep feeling like it's a dead end. You're an hour east of Cleveland, where abouts? I work closer to the east side. Maybe we could find a mid point somewhere and meet up for coffee or something? Please feel free to bring your baby! I love kids and we have been trying to get pregnant too. Let me know.

Sorry I'm new to all this and didn't realize my reply would be for everyone...makes it easier though. Thanks for all the responses. The 19th for a get together sounds great. Can you give me an address? I don't even know where Macedonia is. Also a time would be awesome too. Thanks everyone for your replies. I'd love to get together with any/all of you for some girl time.

511 east Aurora Road Macedonia 7pm. That way the previous ladies can come they work a little late at times!!! I am excited to meet you guys! Now we just need to know who all is in so we can get a count!!!!!

My husband and I aren't new to the area, but we also find it difficult to make friends with couples.  Most of our friends are single, and sometimes we feel like we're in completely different stages in our lives.  We live in a suburb on the East side of Akron off Route 8 about 15 minutes South of Macedonia.  Would any couples be interested in getting together?

I'd also like to meet married women on my own, too, as I'm finding it difficult to meet them.  I won't be able to make it to the restaurant tomorrow but would like to get together at another time, if it's an open invitation for anyone.
