Gah!
I would MUCH rather be at home snuggling and playing with Tennyson.
It was really hard to come to work today. But I made it...20 minutes late.
Re: Monday, Monday...
I friggin' love the new siggy D&M. :-)
I got to hang out with my nephew on Saturday. He's 8 months old and in 18 month old clothing. Effin' huge - long and chunky. And adorable.
Thank you! And thanks to Tigers!
I love chunky babies!!!! I think T is slowing down in the growing department, but his thighs are pure chunk.
Very cute siggy pic, Molly! Love it.
Our network is down at work. So, I can't work.
Bummmmmmmmer.
Ugh - I hate when that happens.
D&M - That is scary - hopefully he just forgot to set his alarm or something!
Yesterday was the first time in my life that I "cried" while cutting an onion. I guess I have never cut an entire onion at once before. It was pretty nuts.
But its going to be so worth it. We are having chicken and beef kabobs on the grill with red onion, red and green pepper, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. They've been marinating all night. ::drool::
Des - cute siggy - I love the expression on his face.
I didnt want to wake up this morning or come to wk. Ugh.
Ya... I actually have quite a bit of work to do today though!
Wow!!! He's a big boy
) Mere is barely in 12m stuff and she's over 12m old haha. Most of the stuff she wears is still 6-9. I don't know where she got the skinny waist from... it wasn't her mom!
Oh, well that sucks!
Yay!
Sounds delicious. Grilling kabobs is pretty much the best summer meal. ;-)
My grandma taught me to rinse the onion with water while cutting it. It helps to not release the crying stuff.
What are you marinating them in?
I just got a grill, and am looking for new ways to use it.
Mine are marinating in zesty italian dressing and H's in Frank's Red Hot wing sauce and zesty italian.
Thanks for the onion tip, I will have to remember that for next time. I literally had to walk away from the onion 3 times just to get through it. Ha.
I need to vent: There is a possiblity that I need to travel towards the end of the year for my job. So, I told my boss I just want to remind you that I'm signed up to take classes on Wednesday nights. So that she could keep that in mind when she was doing planning.
Her response: Well, you need to be aware that your job description says up to 50% travel. (in a very defensive tone)
I know that my job can require travel, I have no problem with that. However, if I need to make adjustments (i.e. drop a class) I need to know. I just didn't want that to come up as a big surprise and thought my boss would appreicate the heads up.
After she said that I made a comment about how I'm willing to work around it and blah blah blah...then I said "okay then, good bye". End of conversation....:) AHHHHHHHHHHHH STUPID SH!T
Sorry you have to deal with that.
Your boss always comes off so cold and uptight when you talk about her. I would have a really hard time dealing with that.
Where might you have to travel?
This is a FB friends current status: Cleaned house. Changed bedding. Painted toe nails. hhmmm, whats next?
Is it awful that the answer in my head was: "Get a job."
Ha.
Yes, DMJ has been bit by the jealousy bug. Ooooh to stay home with my baby...
Ha... yeah, that response would run through my head too.
Ditto. Your boss doesn't sound very nice sometimes.
Hah! Nope! I'm at home with Calvin and I don't ever have time to even think about painting my toes. And a totally clean house? That's a joke
Agreed, but I understand your guilt Kasa.
Enjoy your savings.
I think it's funny that you've picked up on that
I talked with a co-worker and she helped me come up with a good plan on how to handle this. So I feel much better.
The travel could be to any of our dealerships in the US or Canada. I love to travel and it would be a great experience, it just sucks that it would interfere with my personal life.
Any update on the missing co-worker?
Yeah, being a SAHM isn't all glitz and glamor, that's for sure. No lunch break. No quiet time. No lunch break to run errands sans child... Sometimes I'm jealous of working moms!
Yeah, I know what it's like to stay home with a baby - I do stay home with him on Saturdays and Sundays.
I just had a really hard time leaving him today!
Someone called him this morning. I guess he is dealing with fleas? Does that really take missing a day of work to deal with? I don't have much experience with them but really can't imagine the need to take a day off of work. And the email said he "may be back tomorrow." Umm so he may need more than 1 day? Weird.
