Good morning!

Hope you and H had a great 1st anniversary! Party!!!

I was curious if you ever got your video last week.  I also had received an email saying it was going out Monday morning (of last week) and that I should expect to get it on Wednesday and we never got it.  I don't know if I should be worried or angry

    Unforunately, we did not get the video in time for our anniversary! It was supposed to be shipped last Wednesday and wasn't.  Then I received an email Saturday night from Ken.  He said he would drop it off at my house.  We actually live in NYC now, so we had him drop it at my parents' house.  However, he didn't drop it off.  I shot him an email last night stating my parents didn't get it- just in case he did drop it off.  I haven't heard from  him... I'll keep you posted.  Please do the same!

  • Man that stinks! I was hoping that at least you got yours since you have been waiting a year and it would have been perfect to have gotten it in time for your anniversary!

    Yeah, this had been the second time I had been promised the video was going to be mailed within a certain time period and nothing came.  I emailed him this morning and he replied that it hadn't been sent out yet.  Angry

    His work is amazing but I don't know if I could recommend him to anyone b/c you never get the video when he says you will!

  • Sorry to jump in on your thread, but I used him too in March.  He emailed me a month ago or so and told me I am in line to have my video by my 6 month mark! 

     I really liked his work, my sister even contracted to use him for her wedding in May, 2011.  Now, I am getting nervous - does he ever deliver the full video?  I am ok waiting for a year, I understand that sometimes a better product takes more time, but when he keeps saying he will get it to you and then doesn't, that isn't cool.

     Please let me know what happens and if you get it soon...Good Luck!

  • Yeah I was in line for the 6 month mark too and still no video at almost 8 months....I was well prepared to wait though
  • yeah it's really tough.  I have no doubt the video will be amazing, and have been more than patient.  I did not start contacting him at all until about 2 weeks ago because we really wanted it for our anniversary- our parents and siblings came to NY to spend it with us.  But it is hard to stay so calm when you really just want to relive the day already! If I were to do it again, I would definitely still hire him.  One of our favorite parts of the wedding day was the BIG show...and I think that makes it worth it!

    I agree, yeah the waiting stinks but he was well worth it and people are still talking about my Big Show.

  • I was fine with waiting too since he had told us it would probably take 6-8 months for our wedding video to be ready.  It wasn't until he first promised us the video within 10 days and nothing came that I started getting anxious.   I never heard from him until 1 month later when his wife emailed me and said that she would "personally be brining my video to the post office in the morning" and that I could expect the video within 3 days.  Well nothing came again and I emailed them back and asked if had been sent later on the week b/c I never received the video and the reply I got back was "I haven't sent it yet"

    We love his work and know our video will be amazing but it's almost as if he is teasing us and the lack of communication on his part is really frustrating!

  • For me, it is more the issue of telling you he is sending it, delivering it, etc. and then not doing it.

     I understand the 12 months waiting time, but don't get me excited and then not follow through. 

    I have no intention of pestering him until I reach the 1 year mark, but he did get me excited with the 6 month email...I am also nervous because so many girls go on and on about not getting the video, how he says he will send it and doesn't...makes me wonder...

  • Been there, done that and I truly hope the end result for all of you is better than it was for me. He edited a "preview" the night of my wedding and immediately gave me a few copies. It was amazing! My full video was finally hand delivered on my first anniversary, but to say the least I was disappointed with the quality.
  • Summer 2008- could you tell me what was disappointing in the quality?  Was it the editing or the quality of the video itself (ie not high def, crisp, good color, etc)? 

    I am just curious and getting concerned because I referred him to my sister and she is using him and very picky and I know she'll be annoyed with me and him if his work isnt up to par...

  • I have been waiting over a year and haven't even heard back since March!!! I have e mailed and called several times for an update! I haven't heard anything!!!
  • Firstlove-I'm sorry you have been waiting for so long! And on top of that, he's not responding to you! Now I know why he wants all the money up front, b/c then he could care less about getting back to people and giving them their videos! Argh!Angry
