Therapist recommendations?

So, I'm finally getting serious about couples and individual counseling for my FI and myself. Does anyone have any one that they would recommend? I'm hoping to find someone with evening or weekend hours. It's always so hard to just pick a doctor out of the yellow pages I'd appreciate any help!

You should speak with your family doctor about getting a recommendation.  Are you getting married by a priest/rabbi,etc?  They may be able to provide counseling.

I don't have any recommendations but I can offer you a phone number that I know about from work that can help pinpoint therapists that will be a better match for you concerning location, hours, insurance, etc.  The phone number is 1-866-202-4357 and it is for a referral agency called NJ Mental Health Cares. I recommend starting by looking at who is in your health network so you don't get slammed with large bills.  Most networks will even list what types of therapy they specialize in so you should be able to refine your search even more.  And once you have a list of names, you just have to call them and see if they are accepting patients at night.  It's pretty much trial and error because the first one that you go to may not be a good fit for you.  Good luck.
