Flooring saga continues...

Not a great quality photo but...the color on the left is the color I picked out, the color on the right is what came out of the box even though the box said it was the same color. Good news is that the man is getting in a box of the right color tomorrow and maybe...just maybe tomorrow we'll have our floor down and be done with this project. The stain used on the right is definitely reddish in color while the stain on the left is more brown/golden. I struck a blow for women today...all the men involved agreed with me about the color. I half way expected the flooring guy to try and tell me I was nutz but he walked in and before I said a word he said the color was wrong.

Re: Flooring saga continues...

  • i am glad they agreed with you that it was the wrong color! that sucks they laid so much of it down today though....

  • Yeah...well they continued laying it even when they knew it was wrong so that at least our living room would be done. The store owner was so nice about it, I do hope that his flooring distributor will eat the cost for him because it was not his fault anymore than it was ours. His sample was completely different from what was laid down. Unless there is some unforseen glitch coming I would have to recommend them 100% to those in this area that need flooring.
  • It's really good you didn't have to fight with them about it.  Will they pull up the floors with the wrong color and put the new one down?
