Re: S/O Holiday's

  • not a day sooner than the weekend after thanksgiving!!! i LOVE Christmas, but i also love Thanksgiving. I like to take it one holiday at a time.

if we decide to go with a real tree, we will usually wait until about a week or so into Dec. so the tree lasts til Christmas.

  • Not until after Thansgiving.

Honestly, I probably won't think about it until the first/second week of December.

  • Yay! I love decorating for holidays! In a week or so, I will be putting up all our Packers gear for football season. YAY!!! Then Oct 1, I always put up our Halloween decorations. They stay up until November, when more fall/Turkey-day stuff goes up. Then the weekend-ish after T-day, Christmas decorations. But we like getting a real tree, so like Mrs.U, we wait til about a week into Dec to get the tree.

Ooh, this is making me excited for the fall!! Yay!!! :-D I pretty much do any and all inside decorating, and H does all outside stuff (mostly Christmas)! He got really into it last year and we picked up a couple more larger outside decorations for Christmas. Yay!

  • I respect the Turkey! Haha... So not until the weekend after Thanksgiving, at the earliest. But that is just hanging the lights up outside. We don't turn them on until at least Dec 10th, sometimes a few days after. Our Christmas tree doesn't go up until the 15th and it comes down on Dec 26th.  Our light come down on New Years Day...

  • Day after Thanksgiving is when the Christmas decorations go up. That's when we always put lights up growing up so I have to do something that day even if its little. We wait until a couple weeks before Christmas to get a tree, we learned the hard way when we bought a tree the first weekend of December because we were moving the 21st and it was so incredibly dead in 2 weeks that it fell apart whenever we touched it.
  • We start decorating for xmas the day after turkey day. I don't really do the whole black friday thing so all my energy goes to that.
  • Halloween: We usually decorate the very last weekend in september, so that it is ready and we get more time for October.

Turkey Day: Usually Nov 1st so that we can have as much turkey time as we can get!

Christmas: The outside lights go up right before Turkey Day so after dinner we can turn them on for like 10 min then off since i think our HOA isn't to fond of them being on on Turkey day, but is a tradition in my fmaily so we compromise =) Then the tree and all other decorations go up the weekend after Turkey day =) and usually don't come down until the first weekend after New Years.

  • I adore the way our house looks with Christmas lights- so they go up in early November. The tree doesn't go up though until early December. But I would leave Christmas lights up year round if I could!

  • Halloween, is more like 1 week into it. But not sure if we are this year, don't know if people come around the apartment complex.

Thanksgiving is Nov 1st. I have a bunch of cute things for this Holiday.

Christmas, is usually the first weekend in December, if not the second. We wait to buy our tree till a week or two before and we don't take it out till after the 6th of January.

    .

This along with idea's from Hobby Lobby and family. I also have little turkey's and some stuff that a friend at work gave me. It's not much but they are cute. Plus the small pumpkins I put out. Gotta be crafty.

  • At my house, Turkey day isn't Turkey day without some Xmas decor up--I add more after, because I have a LOT!

I heart black Friday too :)

This!  My H does not like to decorate, so I end up doing all of it, ha.  So I usually wait until I have recovered from Thanksgiving.

Ha!  I totally remember you & your "respect the Turkey" from last year! lol!

I don't really decorate for any other holiday other than Christmas.  I admire those that do... It's just too much packing, and unpacking!  lol!

We now have a fake tree, so we'll put it up Thanksgiving weekend.  AFTER Thanksgiving, because I respect the Turkey. :) In WA, we used to always go and cut down our tree, and we'd do that usually around the 2nd weekend of December.
