I cannot stand BIL
My BIL is really pissing me off. He's just a selfish baby. MIL and FIL have planned a trip for all of us to go to the casino in a few weeks in Mississippi. FIL is in really bad health and we don't get to see him very often. We try to take a family trip with them once a year. You can tell that FIL is just ecstatic to have both his boys around him on vacation. He just cherishes this time. FIL and MIL pay for everything while we are there. BIL is being a big selfish biotch saying he doesn't want to go because casinos are a waste of money and blah, blah, blah. Get over yourself and go and enjoy the time you have with your family. There are other things to do besides gamble.
H finally talked him into going for his dad. We are going to have to share a room with him and I didn't feel like babysitting him or trying to make sure he had a good time while we were there or even just listening to him moan and gripe. So I wasn't thrilled about this situation.
Our neighbor watches our two dogs while we are gone. They expected our neighbor to watch his dog too. She doesn't run a petsitting service and we don't want to jeopardize the relationship that we have with her watching them so we told them that she didn't feel comfortable watching three dogs. He got all pissed off and said he definitely isn't going now because he doesn't want to board his dog because, guess what, that's a waste of money too.
I feel bad for FIL and MIL because they were so excited for all of us to have a trip together and now BIL is going to ruin it because he wants a selfish pitty party. Me and H are going and we are going to have a good time! Probably an even better time since BIL won't be sharing a room with us. Ugh....family.
This is just one of many complaints and conflicts I have with BIL. I wonder how he and H came from the same family.

So it's ok for his parents to foot his bill to go, but he can't pay to board his dog? He shouldn't have gotten a pet then! How irresponsible!
Plus, just because you're at a casino doesn't mean that you have to gamble. It sounds to me he cares more about the pennies in his pocket than his own family.
Yes, asshat is a wonderful name for him. H said the same thing about him being a pet owner. If he didn't want to board his pet, he should not have gotten one. He can buy beer, cigarettes and go to a strip club but spending time with your family at a casino is a waste of money? Money that FIL will probably give us to play with anyway??
I have always had limited tolerance for him, but this just puts me over the edge. I could go on and on about situations where he acts like this. He's just immature and needs to grow up. He said that MIL and FIL are okay with him not going. Of course they will say that, what else can they say?
