What To Wear? Visitation for the death of a friend
The visitation and funeral for my friend, the motorcyclist that died last Friday, is this Thursday and Friday.
I've only ever attended memorials in the past and those have always been relatively casual. I know I'm going to wear a nice, black dress with a purple cami underneath for the funeral but I'm not sure what to wear for the visitation. Any suggestions?

Sorry for your loss. When I've gone to visitations, I generally wear black pants and some sort of neutral to dark colored top (think autumn colors like deep purple, maroon, hunter green). You could certainly wear all black, but I don't think you have to. I've seen people in everything from suits to jeans in the past. My main personal guideline (for either a funeral or visitation) is just to wear something that isn't too loud or draws excessive attention to myself. HTH!

Ack - I guess I didn't even think about the weather right now! I think a solid color/neutral dress would also be just fine.
Yeah I'm guessing between the heat of the weather and the heat of crying, definitely be as "cool" as you can.
