I just got a baby invitation in the mail, today, for a baby shower that's out of state and is this Saturday. It's for a second baby, thrown at the mother's house, and I haven't even spoken to her in 3 years.
I'm not even bothering to rsvp to this one, even. How ridiculous.

You should still send the rsvp- but not for another month. Or possibly after the baby is born.

Ha ha ha! Well, unfortunately it just lists two long-distance phone numbers to call to rsvp. Darn it. I'll just pretend I never got it, because that's mature. Did I mention that the invitations are all in her handwriting, too? I really think she's throwing a shower for herself. Into the recycling bin it goes!
Oh dear... I posted the exact same sort of thing a couple of weeks ago. It was my cousin, I went to the shower because I "had to". She hosted it for herself and it was super lame and at total gift grab. She only got 4 presents including the ones from my mom and myself. Some people really need help.
