Q for those of you who download podcasts, since I couldn't find the answer on Apple's support site.
I have a Touch. With some of the podcasts, I'll get a "loading lyrics" message while the podcast is playing, along with the swirly circle showing that the iPod is working hard on something. The problem is that this never goes away, and while it is happening, I can't manipulate the time of play along the scroll bar at the top of the screen because it just sits at 0:00 and won't move.
So if I want to, say, fast-forward, my only option is to press the >> button at the bottom of the screen, which is a much slower way to fast forward and doesn't allow me to get to a specific point in the podcast.
I've tried erasing and reloading the podcasts from my Touch, as well as erasing them from my library and downloading them again from iTunes.
Any suggestions?
Re: iPod Touch/iPhone and podcasts
Have you tried resetting your iTouch? I have a first gen. iTouch and all you do to reset is hold down both the 'home' button and the 'on/off' button for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple sign. That sign will stay there for a bit and the it will completely shut off give it a few minutes then turn it on. It will take a while since you're resetting and see if that helps. The Apple site should tell you if there's a different way to reset your iTouch but I imagine it's not much different on the iTouchees with the lack of buttons.
Good luck! Hope that helps!
