Re: Relocating to St Louis

  • STL Metro area is HUGE.  Could you tell us a bit about yourself, where you guys will be working, do you need public trans over a car, do you want suburbs or city, etc?
  • I will be working for Anheuser-Busch. We have cars and 3 dogs. We currently live in the suburbs of Houston so will probably look to the suburbs first. We know absolutely nothing about St Louis so any help is appreciated.

  • Hi there,

My husband and I made the mistake of moving to the North county area.

I won't go into details but I would stay away from North Co if you can.

If you can afford to, west co is nice and south co. Also, I would check the IL side, I have friends that live in a really nice neighborhood in Collinsville and they got a lot of house for their money

  • A lot of people who work for AB live in South County, Oakville area.  Really anything straight down I-55.  The schools are better if you pick something South of Carondelet.  For when you have kids (if you plan too).
  • We live in Jeff. Co. (10+ miles further south than So. Co) and like it.  The suburbs vary so much on price.  I agree about West Co. or down 55.  How far are you willing to drive to work?
