So I just ordered my basket and I was curious, have any of you ordered the bread and if so did you freeze some of it and then if you did that when yo thawed it out did it sti,ll taste good? I don't order bread or any of the other add ons but i was just curious of how well the bread would freeze.
Also are any of you excited about the add on's this week?

The 9 grain is the only bread we eat other than homemade.
It is amazing out of the freezer. We just buy once every six weeks or so, and keep the four loaves we aren't currently using in the freezer. Then plop one in the fridge when we finish a loaf. Sometimes I'm inpatient and just put the frozen slices in the toaster, they come out perfect every time.
I love this bread. It's the absolute best.
I actually don't know if I'm getting BB at all this week *hangs head in shame*
I'm not interested in any of the add-ons this week - where the heck are the ethnic packs?! and I'm kind of over summer foods - I really don't want to see another berry or ear of corn...so I'm considering taking a week off and hoping that next week I'll be more enthused.
Thanks but my stupid internet at work isnt updated so now I cant see. Oh well, I'll do it at home.
I want to do this as well but I think I might split it up with my MIL.

Jaye I was feeling the same way, I actually took the last two weeks off, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for no corn lol or planana's
I am really happy to hear that the bread is still good out of the freezer, This was the main reason why I hadn't added it on yet. I am really looking forward to seeing what the fall and winter brings us

you're wleocme, I know a few of my co-workers had the same problem with the internet. I think you have until 10 pm tonight to order so you should be good
We were spliting it with my mom but she started getting uber picky lol so we stopped doing that and just go every other week usually.
this exactamundo!
I haven't gotten one in awhile, but with you two trash talking this week, I'm sooooo not hopping on the train...maybe I'll get a ticket next week....
The last few weeks we've gotten bananas and they were SO yummy! I'm kinda sad that I won't be getting it this week. Like, what if it's a REALLY good basket this week? I'm going to be so jealous!
LOL I always think that on the weeks I skip hahahaha
LOOOOVE the 9 grain bread and I too freeze them.
Someone told me recently that it's best to freeze bread in a paper bag as opposed to the plastic. I think this might be because of the taste of plastic on the bread, but honestly, I don't think the bread tastes like plastic though.
Oh Shelly you always make me laugh
Yea I don't think I have ever had a problem with bread from the freezer tasting like plastic. Thanks for the info
I am not trash talking BB! I love BB! I just hate summer foods :P Okay, maybe I don't hate them, but they get old. I only usually eat corn on the cob once a year.
i've always been iffy about freezing bread. maybe i'll try it now! although we have no space in our freezer at all
how long is the bread good for after it's thawed? i'm really weird about freezing anything because i have no idea how long it's good for, aside from freezing meat. that's the only thing i'm ok with lol
It shouldn't be any different than if you bought it from the store the day you brought it out of the freezer. For us, the bread never goes bad because we'll go through a loaf in about 8 days or so.
laughs maniacally at her attempt to push mrs faye's buttons
*rages*
There is no stinking E on Fay and legally I'm a Ms. MS. I TELL YOU
you can totally freeze bread.
Just down the street from me on Southern and Country club is Alpine Valley bread company.
I go there in the mornings when we need bread they always have loaves 2 for $1 and they are great, no HFCS they even have some organic.
Some is $1 a loaf.
The thing is it is getting close to its "sell by date"
So we throw it in the freezer and then keep the one we are using in the fridge, never had it go bad.
That is awesome bread for $1!!!
I have only ordered the Ciabatta bread, not the regular 9 grain. It's SO delish, you get 5 individually wrapped loafs, and yes I have freezed/thawed it before and it was still great.
I didnt order any add ons this week..I would def. need someone to split things like that with me. But Im always excited to see what we get...its like christmas every sat. for me
