Where do you order your plants (not the seeds)... if you order them online?
We looked around the nurseries by us and they don't have or don't have enough black eyed susans and the one ground cover we are looking for... we found www.greatgardenplants.com has everything we are looking for but I have no idea what the quality is going to be.
Any online suggestions?
Re: Online flower/plants
I use www.americanmeadows.com for all my bulbs. They have non-bulb plants as well. They have discounts when you buy in advance. I saved 50% on all my bulbs to be planted this fall, so I went kinda nuts. I hope I have room for all of them!!
EDIT: I think they have just the seeds/bulbs. Oops. Worth checking though.
I primarily use Blue Stone Perennials. I've never had a problem with the quality of the plants. I will say that the plants are rather small - they won't be the size you would buy from a nursery or Lowe's, but they do perform well. I bought daylillies, hydrangeas, and candytuft from them this year.
For bulbs, I've used Tulip World. Seeds I just pick up from Lowes or Home Depot.
For vegetables - Burpee
For bulbs in large quantities - www.hollandbulbfarms.com
Eden Brothers has some reasonable prices as well or large, but not as big quantities as Holland Bulb Farms.
I have also ordered from Blue Stone Perennials. A lot of their stuff comes very small or bare root.
