Anyone running/walking? I have done this race the past two years. However, this year I have been plagued with knee problems (ITB) and general laziness, so I think I will only be walking it. My H has a sore back, so he was going to walk as well.
We are "coaching" our son to run the race. He started track last spring and likes the distance (vs. sprinting). He hasn't gone on any training runs in two months-- he thinks he can just do it from all the hiking/walking he has done at camp. Ah, to be 13 with a body that just goes without a million aches! Given the cool weather expected, I think he can run a pretty fast time (under 20 mins) if he starts off at the right pace.
