I am really trying to be aware of the platics we are taking home from the grocery store. We have really cut down on our trash because of our city's food waste program. It seems like the majority of things I am tossing are plastics that can't be recycled. Point me in the right direction to some cloth produce bags, I don't sew but wouldn't be opposed to fashioning some wth good old fashioned thread and needle (I don't own a sewing machine).
Re: cloth produce bags
These seem to be popular. Flip & Tumble
and I have these from etsy. amkdesigns
I use all my old totes. I have a bunch of them and I stick three or four in each car. I wash them when they get dirty.
I get a ton of free ones too. Earth Bound Farms has AMAZING totes that they give out once a year when you sign up. Next time I see the link I'll post it here. I also have some red gold farms and just random stuff.
I find them on the freebies board of slickdeals.net
Thanks Jennybeeb, I was like, "I think someone else asked this recently...."
You can see in my post that I like the organic ones from Peddler's Wagon.
For those who got them at the Dollar Store - what section were they in?
Thanks!
I have these as well & love them.
