Western WI floods - a little too close to home!
I was in the cities over the past few days and caught a news clip today of all the flooding....the Rush River runs right by my parents' house. They had over 4 inches of rain in their rain gauge this morning. Their house is fine, but there are a bunch of roads that washed out. My dad is on the town board and he told me only 2 bridges in Rush River township were not damaged.
It was a little surreal to see the news crew at a corner about 1 1/2 miles from their house.
Re: Western WI floods - a little too close to home!
The flooding is crazy in WI. I know where the Rush River is. I am glad your parents house is fine.
My sister & her boyfriend own land near Elmwood WI on the Eau Galle River. The river majorly flooded on there property. They now have a lake instead of a river. I guess it stinks too. They don't have a house on the property yet, but on the weekends they bring their camper and camp there. They have some stuff that they lost, but nothing major. DH and I were going to go visit them this weekend, but now we can't. Dumb rain!
