So the other day at the restaurant I heard one of the most ignorant statements ever and have to share.
Coworker 1 (21 two kids)
Coworker 2 (17 senior in high school)
Coworker 2: "I don't think I'm going to be able to have kids. I seriously think something is wrong."
Me: "I wouldn't worry about that until you actually want to have kids. Hopefully that won't be for a while yet."
Coworker 1: "Wait, do you want to have kids?"
Coworker 2: "NO! But I've been active without protection for a while and nothing has happened. Something must be wrong."
Me: "For godssake use protection!"
Coworker 1: "Yeah I thought I was the same way and ended up pregnant at 15."
I love working with idiots...they keep me so entertained! So what's some of the crazy things you've heard?
Re: The things you hear (kinda poll)
::insert head shake here:: This is obviously a case of kids not receiving proper sex education and not knowing how monthly cycles work.
I told mine before about my MIL and the Haiti bit about them deserving it because they don't have God in their life and only care about sex.
I was so baffled that I never said anything, simply because arguing religion with her is basically opening yourself up for a lifetime of re-hashing. She is so set in her ways, nothing I would have said would have made a difference. As long as she doesn't preach her ways to David, I'm fine.
I so wanted to say something when Poland had really bad flooding about where God is, but I think she would have killed me. I said it to DH one time and he made sure I wasn't going to say it to his mom (he would hear more about it than I ever would)
