Morning! Nail Salon Recs?

Morning everyone!

I'll take a sec to introduce myself.  H and I recently moved back to the NH area, I grew up in Nashua and moved to DC for a few years.  I got a job in Bedford MA so we are back in town!

I was looking for recomendations on a nail salon in the Nashua area.  I want to get a good pedicure on the cheaper side ($30ish).  I know strip mall salons can be hit or miss.

TIA

Re: Morning! Nail Salon Recs?

  • Sorry, I go to a salon further north (Shear Details, Mast Rd.,Goffstown). I am learning of those "nail-only" salons. I think I would try to find a hair place that offers nail services. They tend to be price competitive on the basic nail services.

I worked in Bedford MA a few years ago, so I am familiar with that Rt3 commute. Traffic will be nasty once school starts up again.  I'm driving 93 right now and we have been spoiled these last few weeks.  You just know everyone is on vacation.

  • The traffic hasn't been too bad since I've been here.  I come in early so that helps.  Compared to driving an hour plus one way in DC it's a cake walk!

  • I like Nails 2000 on Amherst St in Nashua- right over by the Tech.  It's a little pricey, but for someone who gets a pedicure for a 'splurge', I prefer it.  I like the massage and the experience. :)

  • I had actually gone there once back when I had acrylics on (2000) and they literally had a 12 year old file them down with a the grinder thing and he left it in one place too long and cut right through my nail to the skin.  Hurt like a B and started bleeding! I never went back after that.  Maybe it's under new management.

I ended up going to a place near my work and it was really nice!

  • I have gone to Pro Nails in south Nashua a few times -  the place has been open 18 years and the owner is fantastic - $38 for a mani/pedi 603-891-0779 - i recommend an appointment since they are busy

  • I went to Nails 2000 for a pedicure because I had a gift card there and I thought it was fine.  But I never get anything more than just a basic mani-pedi.  I usually go to Lily Nails on Amherst St. across from Leda Lanes.  The two ladies that work there are really nice.  I think it's $25 for a pedi, $15 for a mani, and $38 if you do both.
